The quiet one, closer to home

A sheltered loch by Mugdock Country Park, minutes from Milngavie and about twenty from Glasgow. Trees instead of crowds, still water instead of open loch. The one to pick on a weeknight.

The view to the Campsies from inside the sauna

The Window

The sauna is facing the woods by the loch and the beautiful Campsies.

A group of friends in the loch, smiling for the camera.

The dook

Still, sheltered water a few steps from the door. Gentler than the big loch, no less cold in January.

The sauna, hidden in the woods a few metres away from the loch

The quiet

Wooded, sheltered and off the tourist trail. You will mostly have the water to yourselves.

The wood-fired stove glowing inside the sauna

The fire

Same stove, same löyly, same person running it who actually knows how.

How a session works

  1. Book

55 minutes, yours. Arrive ten minutes early to get yourself sorted.

  2. Heat & dook

Our perfect hour: 15 in the heat, 10 in the loch, back in for more. Never more than 15 minutes in at a stretch.

  3. Drink water

A lot of it. You'll be doing a lot of sweating. That's rather the point.

Parking

Use the designated Dumbrock car park only, its just off Craigallean Road. What 3 words ///stressed.craziest.kindness
